What's new in Turbo.264 HD 1.0.2?
Improved Picture Quality
In many cases, encoded files are sharper due to improved deinterlacing, scaling, and scene change detection. This reduces encoding speed somewhat, especially on slower Macs.
New Advanced Options
Turbo.264 HD now features Progressive Scan source deinterlacing. The advanced motion detection and doubled frame rate result in excellent picture quality. Note that using Progressive Scan increases the CPU load, especially so for HD sources.
Open GOP structures are now supported by Turbo.264 HD. Depending on the source video, this more efficient encoding can be combined with higher GOP sizes and a lower bit rate to achieve comparable quality.
MediaSilo and FTP Upload
Automatic upload of encoded files to a MediaSilo account. To create a custom preset with a MediaSilo upload, edit an existing preset and go to the “Other” tab. Click the + button, then select the MediaSilo protocol.

The same feature is also available for generic FTP accounts by selecting the FTP protocol.
Keep Files After Encoding
Unchecking the new "Clear items list after encoding" preference keeps source video files in the Turbo.264 HD window, so they do not need to be re-added for multiple encodes.
Save Partial Exports
Checking the new “Keep incomplete files when “Stop” is clicked” preference enables encodes-in-progress to be stopped without losing the content that has been already encoded.
