There are a few ways to tell if your PC has USB 3.x ports. USB 3.x stands for USB 3.0, 3.1, and above.
Physical Inspection of USB Ports - USB 3.0
USB 3.0 ports are also known as Super Speed USB ports, or SS for short. If you see an USB logo that mentions SS, then it's USB 3.0
If the USB port or cable has a blue tab, it is USB 3.0.
That said, it's possible for a USB 3.0 port or cable to be a color other than blue.

USB 3.1 ports are also known as Super Speed USB 10 Gbps ports, or SS 10 for short. If you see an USB logo that mentions SS 10, then it's USB 3.1
Device Manager
You can also visit the Device Manager to find out if your computer has USB 3.x controller drivers installed. If it does, then it should have at least one USB 3.x port.
1) Click the Start button.
2) Open the Control Panel.
3) Select Device Manager.
4) Double-click Universal Serial Bus controllers.
5) If USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 is included in any of the listed controllers, your computer has USB 3.x controller drivers installed. Otherwise, it is likely to have USB 2.0 or earlier.
PCs With Multiple USB Ports
If your PC has multiple USB ports, then it's It very possible that they are a mixture of USB 3.x and 2.0 ports,. Therefore, make sure that you connect your device to the right port.
A USB 2.0 device will work with an USB 3.x port, but USB 3.x devices are not made for USB 2.0 ports.
