Windows 10 May 2020 Update Requires Elgato Stream Deck Software Update to 4.7

Microsoft has begun the roll out of the Windows 10 May 2020 update.

If you update Windows, then Elgato Stream Deck software updates from version 4.6 or earlier will fail and require manual updating.

 

Elgato Stream Deck Update Fails

 

Elgato Stream Deck 4.7 has specific changes for Windows 10 May 2020 Update.

Earlier versions of the Elgato Stream Deck software will fail to update if Windows 10 has already been updated to the Windows 10 May 2020 update.

Affected Stream Deck versions

  • Elgato Stream Deck software 4.6 and earlier

Elgato Stream Deck 4.7 or later needs to be manually downloaded and installed.
