Why is the Music & Sound‑effects library leaving Elgato Marketplace?
To keep Elgato Marketplace focused on high-impact, differentiated content, we’ve made the decision to remove the Music and SoundFX library previously powered by external party. While it was a valuable resource, we believe modern tools now offer better solutions for creators.
Moving forward, we’re investing in areas where we can deliver more value, whether through community-made content or features built directly into our software.
What is the last day I can download Music and SoundFX?
November 15, 2025
Can I re-download Music or SoundFX after they’re removed from Marketplace?
No. Once these were removed from Marketplace on November 15, 2025, they are longer be available for download.
Will the downloaded audio files stop playing after the cutoff date?
No, your downloaded files will continue to work locally on your computer. However, you may not use them in any new published content after November 15, 2025, as the licenses will no longer be valid.
Do I need to delete any files stored on my computer?
No, you do not need to delete any files.
Will my existing Stream Deck profiles or actions that reference these audio files still work?
Yes, any existing profiles that use the Soundboard action will continue to work, as long as the audio files remain on your system.
The files are stored locally, so they’ll keep working even if you update or reinstall Stream Deck software, regardless of whether the library is removed from Marketplace.
Is my past content on YouTube, Twitch, etc. affected in any way?
No. Videos and streams that premiered on or before November 15, 2025, can remain online indefinitely, and their licenses remain valid.
If I receive a copyright‑claim notice after the cutoff, who is responsible?
Content created on or before November 15, 2025: If the content was created and published by this date, you're still covered by the original license included with your download from Elgato Marketplace.
Content created after November 15, 2025: If the content was created or published after this date, the license no longer applies, and you are solely responsible. If you’d like to continue using the audio legally in future content, you can explore a personal license with other external parties, for example, at storyblocks.com.
What if I get a copyright claim for content published on or before November 15?
Storyblocks will review the situation and handle it on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Storyblocks Support for help with the copyright claim.
How can I identify which audio files were installed from Marketplace?
If you’ve downloaded Music or SoundFX from Elgato Marketplace, they’ll appear in the Products section of your Marketplace account.
Only accounts that have downloaded at least one music or sound product will see a message in your Product Library.
We recommend that you review your downloaded content before November 15, 2025, as access to this information will no longer be available after that date.
Note: After November 15, 2025, previously downloaded Music and SoundFX will be removed from your Product Library history entirely.
Where are my downloaded Music and SoundFX files stored?
Downloaded audio files from Marketplace are saved locally on your computer.

Is Elgato providing an alternative free audio library or recommended replacements?
