What’s new in Camera Hub 1.9.1?
This release is chock-full of new features and improvements to your camera and Prompter experience.
Note: After Camera Hub is updated, your Prompter’s firmware will automatically update. This will result in Prompter turning off momentarily. Your multi-monitor configuration may shift and then re-appear as normal once the firmware update has been completed.
🆕 Introducing Facecam MK.2
Our iconic webcam gets even better. The latest model offers everything you love about Facecam, plus new features like HDR, a built-in privacy shutter, and pan-tilt-zoom effects. With improved image quality, Facecam MK.2 ensures streamers and professionals look as true-to-life as ever—even in dim lighting. Its sleek design fits naturally in modern workspaces, while a lower profile enhances eye contact.
Starting today, Facecam MK.2 is available to order online, with availability at major retailers around the world coming soon.
🆕 Facecam Pro firmware update
A new firmware is available for Facecam Pro, making the world’s first 4K60 webcam even better:
- Say hello to tint control. You can now fine-tune your magenta-green tint settings, alongside your blue-orange white balance. This makes it easy to lock in the perfect color balance, just like a professional camera.
- You can now lock in your auto white balance setting at any time.
- Saving settings directly to your webcam is more reliable than ever.
- Camera Hub is better able to detect when your camera is being used in other software, such as OBS Studio.

🎥 Face Tracking*
Leveraging NVIDIA AI technology, Camera Hub can now follow your face as it moves. This ensures you’re always centered in frame, saving you time and focus.
*To use face tracking, you’ll need an NVIDIA RTX 2060 GPU or better.
What's new with Prompter?
Alright, let's look at Prompter changes. All of these have been highly requested by you, our community. Starting us off is text mode.
⬇️ Save Multiple scripts
You can now save multiple scripts to Camera Hub and switch between them on the fly. Drag and drop to reorder your scripts, or rename scripts with a simple right click.
🗒️ Automatic Chapters
No more manually setting up script chapters one by one. Now when you paste text into Camera Hub, chapters will automatically form at every blank line.
👇 Chapter Drag-n-drop
Moving around chapters is now as simple as drag and drop. Restructuring your scripts has never been easier or faster.
🪓 Easily Split Chapters
Split long chapters into two by right clicking or pressing SHIFT + ENTER. This helps keep your text readable and organized.
🔁 Looping Script
Do as many takes as you need. Prompter will automatically loop your script, so you can stay in frame without fussing over controls.
🎙️ Voice Dictation
Now you can enter a script using only your voice. Just select the microphone icon to bring up your system’s built-in voice-to-text transcription. Great for recording podcasts, taking meeting notes, and making your script sound more natural.
🗨️ Resize text in the editor
Now you can resize text in Camera Hub’s editor, separate from the text displayed on Prompter.
🎯 Crosshair overlay
Thanks to a suggestion from Harris Heller, Prompter can now display a crosshair overlay to pinpoint your camera lens and improve eye contact even further. Choose from a selection of crosshair styles or add your own, no matter which mode you’re in—Display, Text, or Chat. (Oh and let us know if you spot the Easter egg.)
Learn more about configuring a crosshair.
🔘 Turn Prompter On/Off
Want to turn off Prompter’s display when not in use? Now you can.
☀️ Adjustable contrast*
Adjust the contrast of Prompter’s screen* to make colors more or less vibrant.
*Only available on Windows currently
👀 OpenDyslexic font
With the addition of OpenDyslexic, a dyslexia-friendly font, Prompter is now more accessible. (Special thanks to your feedback during the recent Camera Hub beta.)
