Desk stand setup
Use the supplied screw to attach the holder to the base. The small pin on the base has a matching notch inside the holder.
Extension setup
The extension pole provides 10 cm | 3.9 in of additional height. Reducing the distance between you and your microphone can significantly improve the sound quality.
Prepare the Base and Extension Riser
Start by identifying the key features on the extension riser and the base. One side of the riser is flat with an inset notch, while the opposite side has a raised pin. The base also has corresponding features that will align with these.
Align and Attach the Riser to the Base
Place the flat side of the riser against the base, aligning the notch and pin correctly. Begin to screw the riser into the base. As you tighten, ensure that the keying between the base and the riser is properly aligned. Rotate the riser as needed until it sits completely flush against the base. If the riser appears tilted at any point, loosen slightly, realign, and then tighten again.
Tighten the Connection
Once aligned, you can finalize tightening the connection. You may use a flat screwdriver or even a coin to tighten the screw securely.
Attach Wave Neo to the Riser
Take the second screw and insert it into the bottom of the Wave Neo unit, screwing it in until it is tight. Then, you can mount Wave Neo onto the top of the extension riser, making note of the notch and raised pin for proper alignment. Ensure that there is no gap once Wave Neo is inserted.
Final Positioning
With all components assembled, ensure that the front of Wave Neo faces the Elgato logo at the front of the base. The extension riser should be offset to the left, with the cable channel situated behind the microphone for a clean setup.
How to set up Wave Neo with Microphone Arms
Alternatively, you can mount Wave Neo on a stand or boom arm such as Wave Mic Arm or Wave Mic Arm LP. If necessary, use a coin to remove the pre-installed thread adaptor.
Cable Connections
Use the supplied cable to connect Wave Neo to a USB port on your PC or Mac. Connect headphones (not included) to the 3.5 mm jack socket to listen to the sound coming from your computer.
Software Installation
Wave Neo directly works without installing any software on your PC or Mac. For an enhanced user experience, download and install the Wave Link app.

Capacitive Mute
Mute Wave Neo with its touch sensor. The white or red light always lets you know whether you are live or muted. The touch sensitive area extends to around the mute indicator.
Side Address
Speak into the side of Wave Neo and keep a distance of approximately 8-12 cm | 3-5 in for optimal voice capture.
