Requirements
To use Marketplace Connect for OBS, you'll need the following:
- Elgato Marketplace account
- Marketplace Connect for OBS Plugin – Get the Plugin
- OBS Studio 30 or newer – Download OBS Studio
- Windows 11 (macOS support is planned for the future)
How to download and use Marketplace Connect for OBS
1) Go to Elgato.com/downloads.
2) Search for Marketplace Connect for OBS and click Download.
3) Open the downloaded file and follow the setup wizard.
4) Once installed, open OBS Studio and go to Tools > Elgato Marketplace Connect to verify the installation.
5) Log in to see your Scene Collections inside the Marketplace Connect window.
7) Select a Scene Collection from your library and click the Download arrow.
8) If any OBS plugins are required, Marketplace Connect will notify you and provide a link to download them.
9) Follow the guided installer to set up your Scene Collection. You're now ready to stream or record.
Where to find more Scene Collections for OBS
You can browse and download additional Scene Collections from Elgato Marketplace.
1) Open Elgato Marketplace.
2) In the left-hand sidebar, select OBS > Scene Collections to view available overlays.
3) Find a Scene Collection you want, then select it and click Open it in OBS Studio.
4) Once installed, go to Tools > Elgato Marketplace Connect in OBS to configure your new Scene Collection.
Troubleshooting
If you run into issues while installing or using Marketplace Connect, try the following:
Marketplace Connect is missing from OBS Studio
- Verify you have OBS Studio 30 or newer installed.
- Restart OBS Studio after installing the plugin.
- Go to Tools in OBS Studio and check if Elgato Marketplace appears in the menu.
- If it's missing, reinstall Marketplace Connect from Elgato Marketplace.
I cannot log in to Elgato Marketplace in OBS Studio
- Try logging in with a web browser at Elgato Marketplace.
- If using a VPN, disable it temporarily and try again.
- Restart OBS Studio and try logging in again.
Marketplace Connect was installed but doesn’t work correctly
- Reinstall the plugin by downloading it again from Elgato Marketplace.
- Verify you’re running Windows 11.
- Check for OBS Studio updates and install the latest version.
Purchased overlays are not appearing in the plugin
- Only Scene Collections will appear in Marketplace Connect. Other asset types will not be listed.
- Restart OBS Studio and check again.
