What’s new in Camera Hub 1.9?
This release is chock-full of new features and improvements to your camera and Prompter experience.
Note: After Camera Hub is updated, your Prompter’s firmware will automatically update. This will result in Prompter turning off momentarily. Your multi-monitor configuration may shift and then re-appear as normal once the firmware update has been completed.

A new firmware is available for Facecam Pro, making your camera even better.
-
Fully manual tint control - almost unheard of in webcams, you can now control tint (green/purple) alongside white balance (blue/orange). Locking in the perfect color has never been easier.

Saving settings to flash memory has been made more reliable.
-
Improved detection of when the camera is in use.

🎥 Face Tracking
Camera Hub can now keep you centered in the frame when moving around. This uses the same underlying NVIDIA-based* technologies as Eye Contact.
*Face Tracking requires an NVIDIA RTX 2060 GPU or better.
Alright, let's look at Prompter changes. All of these have been highly requested by you, our community. Starting us off is text mode.
⬇️ Save Multiple scripts
You can now save multiple scripts and quickly switch between them. You can also drag-and-drop to reorder your script and right-click and select rename to change the script's title.
🗒️ Automatic Chapters
When pasting text into a script chapters are now automatically created at blank lines.
👇 Chapter Drag-n-drop
Re-arranging chapters is now as simple as drag and drop.
🪓 Easily Split Chapters
Chapters can now be split by pressing SHIFT+ENTER or using the context menu.
🔁 Looping Script
Take 1. Take 2. Take 3. It's now easier thanks to the new script loop feature that will continuously scroll your script.
🎙️ Voice Dictation
Click the microphone icon to bring up Windows or Mac's built-in voice-to-text transcription. This can come in handy when recording podcasts, taking notes during a meeting, or recording a script to sound like spoken word and then editing it later.
🗨️ Resize text in the editor
We heard your feedback, and the text size in the editor can now be adjusted separately from the text on Prompter.
🎯 Crosshair overlay
Credit to Harris Heller for this one. You can now turn on a crosshair across all three modes - Display, Text, and Chat- which will help you pinpoint where the camera is and where your eye focus should be. This is especially helpful when reading scripts. Oh, and we left an Easter egg in there. Let us know if you find it.
We’ve included some default pointer styles, and you can even add your own. Learn more about configuring a crosshair.
🔘 Turn Prompter On/Off
You can now turn the Prompters display off when not in use.
☀️ Adjustable contrast*
Prompters contrast can now be adjusted. Contrast affects the intensity of colors and can make Prompter appear more vibrant.
*Contrast adjustment only available on Windows at the moment.
👀 OpenDyslexic font
Based on feedback during the Camera Hub beta from you, our community, we added the dyslexia-friendly font OpenDyslexic to improve accessibility.
