Required Items for Setup
The following are required to capture PlayStation 5.
- Xbox Series X or S
- Desktop or laptop with USB 3.0 port.
- Elgato Game Capture Neo
- 2 x HDMI cables.
Inputs and Outputs
Elgato Game Capture Neo has one HDMI input, one HDMI output, and one USB-C output.
HDMI In
This connects to a game console or other video source. Signals protected by HDCP can't be used.
HDMI Out
This sends the HDMI signal in real time to a TV or display so that you can play your game normally.
USB Out
This USB-C port sends the captured video to your computer via USB 3.0.
Setup Steps
1) Connect your Xbox Series X|S to the HDMI In of Game Capture Neo via an HDMI cable.
2) Connect the HDMI Out of Game Capture Neo to your TV or display via an HDMI cable.
3) Connect the Game Capture Neo to your computer via a USB 3.0 cable.
4) Open Elgato Studio Software or OBS Studio to start capturing right away, or add Game Capture Neo to your preferred streaming software, such as 4K Capture Utility, OBS Studio, Streamlabs Desktop, and more.
