🏎️ 4K X gets 10-Gbps support on Mac
Mac users can now turn on 10Gbps mode when using 4K X. This requires a Mac with 10Gbps USB or Thunderbolt ports and macOS Sonoma 14.4 or later. Older macOS versions will continue to connect at 5Gbps.
How to turn on USB 10 Gbps on macOS
- Update to macOS Sonoma 14.4 or later
- Install Elgato Capture Device Utility 1.3 or later
- Press and hold Option in the app
- Turn on USB 10 Gbps in the next window
