Can I connect Elgato Thunderbolt™ 3 Dock to my computer using USB?

You cannot connect Elgato Thunderbolt™ 3 Dock directly to your computer using an USB 2.0 or 3.0 cable.

Elgato Thunderbolt 3 Dock must be connected to your Mac or PC using a Thunderbolt 3 cable in order for it to function.
