Cam Link 4K is not the same as the original Cam Link which was discontinued in November 2018.
If you are looking for Cam Link 4K, make sure to buy a product that is specifically listed as Cam Link 4K on that website, or on the box.
Original Cam Link Cannot Be Upgraded
The original Cam Link hardware cannot be updated to have the features of Cam Link 4K.
Original Cam Link Is No Longer Available
The original Cam Link hardware is no longer available for distribution or purchase from Corsair or Elgato Gaming. A few stores may have limited quantities left.
The original Cam Link has reached the End Of Life. It is still under warranty if you already own one.
Original Cam Link Cannot Be Traded In
The original Cam Link hardware cannot be traded in for the new Cam Link 4K.
Original Cam Link Firmware Cannot be Updated
DO NOT update Cam Link or Cam Link 4K firmware at any time, unless Elgato Gaming Technical Support tells you to do so for specific troubleshooting purposes.
A firmware update will NOT turn Cam Link into Cam Link 4K in any way, and may harm your device.
