Some important considerations to keep in mind:
Place of Purchase
In the United States of America, Elgato-branded products are only covered by Corsair's warranty if they are purchased from Elgato.com, Corsair.com or a Corsair-authorized reseller.
Corsair's warranty will not be available if you purchase Elgato-branded products from an unauthorized reseller.
Items purchased from individuals through any channel, are not covered under the warranty.
For areas outside of the US, please check the Corsair warranty page for your region.
For more information on Amazon resellers, please check the Authorized Resellers of Elgato on Amazon.
Proof of Purchase (Invoice/Receipt)
Proof of Purchase is required in order to replace your product. Please be sure to save your receipt upon purchase of your new Elgato product.
Elgato hardware products do not have online registration - keep your Proof of Purchase to determine the start of your warranty.
Shipping and Packaging
When the RMA is established, Elgato will give you shipping instructions and labels.
Elgato does not require devices to be sent in with their original packaging, but also does not cover the cost of purchased packing material for RMAs.
Warranty Period
What is the warranty period?
The warranty period is 2 years for products bought new in box. Refurbished products have different warranties - please see the Corsair Warranty page for more info.
If you've had your Elgato product for longer than that, then you may not be eligible for an exchange, but our amazing Technical Support team is always willing to troubleshoot!
Please contact them via http://help.elgato.com for more assistance.
It will be helpful to have some info on what is exactly is going on with the device.
Elgato's warranty covers like-for-like exchanges in the event of a damaged or defective device, and does not cover refunds of any kind. We are happy to ensure you have a working device, but refunds should be handled at the original place of purchase.
Physical Ownership and Control of the Device Is Needed for Warranty Coverage
If you want to claim warranty coverage for your Elgato product, you have to physically own and control that product.
Typically, you will need to send the product to us, before you receive the warranty replacement.
If you throw out, intentionally damage, sell, or give away that product, then the warranty no longer applies.
Even if the product is damaged, always keep it, and contact Elgato for assistance. That way, you will have the option to send it to our team later, as part of the standard exchange (RMA) process.
