Elgato Game Capture 4K60 Pro can be used to record or stream, but the capabilities depend on what software you are using.

Please Note: Streaming at a resolution higher than 1080p is not currently possible when using Elgato Game Capture 4K60 Pro with software from Elgato.  You can stream up to 4K using 3rd party software like OBS or XSplit.

 
Elgato Game Capture HD Software


Recording: When using Elgato Game Capture HD software with Elgato Game Capture 4K60 Pro, you can record up to 1080p60.

Streaming: When using Elgato Game Capture HD software with Elgato Game Capture 4K60 Pro, you can stream up to 1080p60.

 
Elgato 4K Capture Utility Software


Recording: When using Elgato 4K Capture Utility software with Elgato Game Capture 4K60 Pro, you can record up to 2160p60.

Streaming: When using Elgato 4K Capture Utility software with Elgato Game Capture 4K60 Pro, you can't stream at all.

 
3rd Party Software (OBS, XSplit, etc.)
