If Ring Light does not appear when trying to control or pair via Control Center or phone, these steps can help:
Reset Ring Light
1) Press and hold the power switch for 10 seconds in the ‘II’ position until it blinks 3 times.
2) Release the power button and wait 5 seconds
3) Now turn on Ring Light by setting the power button to the “I’ position
Restart the PC, Mac, Android or iOS device
Restarting the device can solve many different issues.
Reset Router
Restarting the router can solve many different issues.
Each router has a different way it can be reset. There may be a button on the router, or a local web page you can go to.
If you don't have those options, you may need to unplug and replug the power cable from the router, but you may want to check with your ISP to make sure that's recommended.
Connect PC or Mac to Router
To control Ring Light from a PC or Mac the computer must be connected to the same router which Ring Light is connected to.
This connection can be either Wi-Fi or wired Ethernet connection.
If the PC or Mac is connected directly to the modem, and not connected to the router, controlling Ring Light will from that PC or Mac will not work.
Confirm That the Computer has an Active Wi-Fi Adapter
To pair Ring Light using a Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS device, that device requires a Wi-Fi connection. If no Wi-Fi device is available, Ring Light cannot be paired.
The Wi-Fi adapter needs to support 2.4 GHz or 5Ghz to be able to discover Ring Light for pairing.
An iOS device, or basic USB to Wi-Fi adapter can be used if the computer has no built-in Wi-Fi.
Reset Wi-Fi Adapter
Sometimes a Wi-Fi adapter requires a reset to show Ring Light.
1) On Windows, search “Network” and open the Network Status window.
2) At the bottom, click on "Network Reset".
3) Click on "Reset Now".
4) Restart the PC.
Check advanced network settings
Certain settings on a Wi-Fi router can prohibit devices on the network from communicating with each other. This would result in Ring Light not being able to pair with a Wi-Fi network or devices on the network like a PC, Mac, iOS or Android device not seeing or not being able to control Ring Light.
Double check that these services are either disabled or enabled, respectively.
Ensure that these services are enabled on the Wifi router:
Multicast
Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP)
mDNS
Ensure that these services are disabled on the router, as they could prevent Ring Light from pairing or wireless control from other devices:
AP/client isolation
Virtual Private Networks (VPNs)
Proxy Servers
IGMP Proxy
