Here are the Elgato 4K S System Requirements.
Using 4K S in recording and streaming software other than Elgato Studio software, such as OBS studio, Meld Studio, Discord, TikTok Studio, Camo Studio on iPad, and others, will have different system requirements.

- CPU: Intel Core i5 (8th gen or later) / AMD Ryzen
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 10xx or equivalent

- CPU: Apple M1 Chip or better

iPadOS:
- iPad OS 18 or later

A processor with a suffix like "U" (Ultra-low voltage) or "M" is not recommended since it will have significantly lower performance. For example, the i7-4510U might seem powerful, but the U suffix indicates that it performs much less than other i7 processors.
Intel Pentium and Celeron processors do not meet the minimum specifications.
Windows GPU Requirements
These GPU requirements are based on video encoding acceleration in the Elgato 4K Capture Utility software. Encoding support in software such as OBS Studio will differ.

- 4K60 HDR - GeForce 10xx (GTX 1050) or better
- 4K60 SDR - GeForce GTX 9xx (GTX 950) or better
AMD
- 4K60 SDR or 1080p60 SDR - Radeon RX Vega or better
