The Key Light Air MK.2 uses Bluetooth to initially connect to Control Center. Once paired, the light communicates with Elgato Control Center over Wi-Fi.

Key Light Air MK.2 — Bluetooth Adapter Missing
Why does Control Center say "Bluetooth adapter missing"?
This error appears in the Add Accessory dialog in Control Center when your computer doesn't have a Bluetooth adapter available or it's disabled. It only shows when you first try to pair the Key Light Air MK.2 on that computer.
If the computer doesn't have Bluetooth there are a couple options.
Option 1: Pair using a smartphone or a different computer
Use a smartphone or other computer (e.g. a laptop) with Bluetooth to complete the initial setup:
- On the smartphone/laptop, open Elgato Control Center (download from the App Store, Google Play or https://www.elgato.com/us/en/s/downloads)
- Begin pairing and select your network when prompted — Bluetooth must remain enabled during this step
- Once pairing is complete, the Key Light Air MK.2 will automatically appear in Control Center on your computer on the same network. Your computer can now control the light over Wi-Fi without needing Bluetooth
Option 2: Control the light directly over USB-C
You can control the Key Light Air MK.2 directly via USB without any Bluetooth pairing. Note: USB-C control only works on the computer the light is connected to. Other devices on your network cannot control the light when connected this way.
- Connect the light to your computer using the USB-C cable
- Open Elgato Control Center on your computer
- The light appears automatically and is ready to control — no pairing required
Note: In both cases, after the initial setup step, you won't need Bluetooth again.
