Elgato Wave DX — Does it require Phantom Power?

Elgato Wave DX is a dynamic microphone and does not require phantom power.

 

Disabling Phantom Power with Wave XLR

If you’re using Wave XLR, you can toggle Phantom Power on and off by pressing and holding the large dial for 2 seconds. Or uncheck the Phantom Power option inside of Wave Link.

 

When Phantom Power is off, the LED labeled 48v will go dark.

 

Disabling Phantom Power with other Audio Interface

The process for other interfaces will vary. Be sure to check with the manufacturer of your Audio Interface for more information.
