This guide will walk you through adding and setting up Action Trigger for Stream Deck +. With Action Trigger, you can assign up to three actions typically used for Keys to any Dial, expanding control even for plugins without native dial support. Each dial direction—clockwise, counterclockwise, and press—triggers a unique action.

How to use Action Trigger

1) Ensure you’re using Stream Deck 6.8 or later. Right-click a dial, choose Create Action Trigger, or find it in the Stream Deck Dials section.

2)  You'll see three options for clockwise, counterclockwise, and press actions. Drag the desired actions into each slot to set up your preferred controls. 

In the example below, turning the dial counter-clockwise goes to the Previous Page, clockwise goes to the Next Page, and pressing the dial returns to Page 1.

3) The assigned actions will also appear on the Touch Strip above the dial for easy reference.
