Troubleshooting steps
- First check whether it is only the Elgato software that is crashing, or if other software may be crashing on the same computer.
- Take a screenshot or video of the issue you are noticing.
- Try to Run as Administrator
- If you have not yet already done so, please try on another computer account to see if the same behavior occurs. (Test another computer if available.)
- Please check for any GPU and system updates and then update to any that are found.
- Test removing any USB devices from the computer (except the mouse, keyboard and the Elgato device.), then reboot the computer and test without reconnecting the other devices.
- Install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables.
- If still unable to get it to not crash, please try to uninstall the Elgato software after first backing up any settings you wish to keep, and then reinstall from our Downloads page. Also do this if on a Beta version of the software to rollback to a stable release.:
