Elgato Game Capture 4K60 S+ can record video sources that use the following resolutions:
480p
720 by 480 resolution, at 60 FPS
576p
720 by 576 resolution, at 50 FPS
720p
1280 by 720 resolution, at 30 FPS or 60 FPS
1080p
1920 by 1080 resolution, at 30 FPS or 60 FPS
2160p
3840 by 2160 resolution, at 30 FPS or 60 FPS
Recording resolution, frame rate, and dynamic range in standalone mode
When 4K60 S+ is used in standalone mode and video is recorded to SD card, the source resolution, frame rate, and dynamic range determine the recording resolution and frame rate.
Example:
If the input to 4K60 S+ is 4K (2160p) at 60 frames per second, the resulting recording will have a resolution of 2160p at 60 frames per second.
If the input to 4K60 S+ is 1080p at 30 frames per second, the recording will have a resolution of 1080p and 30 frames per second.
If the input into 4K60 S+ is 4K (2160p) at 30 frames per second with HDR, the recording will have a resolution of 2160p at 30 frames per second in HDR.
1440p Capture is not Supported
Input and capture of 2560x1440 (1440p) is not supported.
HDR
Elgato Game Capture 4K60 S+ can capture the HDR10 format.
Other HDR formats such as Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and HLG are not supported.
High Frame Rates and High Refresh Rates are not Supported
Frame rates higher than 60 fps, and refresh rates higher than 60 Hz, are not supported by Elgato Game Capture 4K60 S+
