On November 10, 2020, Apple announced the availability of Macs based on a new architecture known as Apple Silicon.
Although announced at the same time as macOS Big Sur, Apple’s latest operating system, Apple Silicon processors are an independent release with separate compatibility concerns. Compatibility with macOS Big Sur will not ensure compatibility with Apple Silicon processors. You can find out more about the compatibility of our products with macOS Big Sur here.
This article outlines the support of Elgato products on Apple silicon (M1, M2, etc.) and future Apple silicon hardware. Please check updates to this page to obtain current information on compatibility with Apple Silicon.
Apple Silicon processors can run apps that are compiled for the Intel chipset through a software technology known as Rosetta 2. This translation layer is automatically enabled. Software running through Rosetta 2 may experience issues and is not guaranteed to function 100% bug-free.

Known Issues
• For Thunderbolt Docks, M1 Macs support only one display over Thunderbolt. M1 Pro and M1 Max do not have this limitation.
• When using Game Capture HD software there may be recording and/or playback issues. As a workaround, when using Game Capture HD60 S+, or Cam Link 4K, you can record 1080p60 with OBS Studio.
• When using Wave Link software, please follow the steps in this article as you are installing the software on a M1 Mac: Installing Wave Link on Mac with Apple Silicon
