This article will go over what causes question marks to appear on configured Stream Deck keys and how to fix it. 

Why do question marks appear on keys?

When Stream Deck keys are configured with an action and the plugin from which those actions came from is uninstalled or otherwise not found, those keys will display a question mark icon. 

This can occur when moving a Stream Deck profile from one computer to another. If the profile contains actions on keys that came from a plugin, and the new computer does not have the same plugin installed, the keys will display the question mark icon.

Install the missing plugin

Installing the plugin that is missing will fix the problem. You can do this several ways:

• Head to Elgato Marketplace and find the missing plugin, then install it. 

• Press the key showing the "?". to trigger the install for that specific plugin.

• Click a key with the "?" and then click "Check Now".

• Click the "?" located at the top of the software to perform a mass install or select specific ones:

You'll then be prompted to install missing plugins that were detected.
