Elgato Control Center - Light Firmware Update

This article will go over how to update the firmware of your Elgato lighting accessory. Firmware updates add improvements and resolve issues. 

 

Your lighting accessory must be paired to your network before the firmware update can be performed.

Compatible Products


Firmware updates can be performed for the following products using Control Center. Click on the lighting accessories to view the firmware release history. 

 


Firmware Update - Windows 


1) Download and install the latest version of Elgato Control Center software from Elgato.com

2) Open Elgato Control Center

If you see a blue indicator blobid2.png next to your light's settings it means a firmware update is available. 

3) Click on the settings button

4) Click on Firmware update...

⚠️ Do not disconnect the power or turn your light off during the update

⚠️ Do not close Control Center or turn off your computer during the update

4) Wait until the firmware update is complete.

Firmware Update - macOS


1) Download and install the latest version of Elgato Control Center software from Elgato.com

2) Open Control Center in the macOS menu bar

If you see a blue indicator next to your light, it means a firmware update is available. 

3) Click on the settings button

4) Click on Firmware update...

⚠️ Do not disconnect the power or turn your light off during the update

⚠️ Do not close Control Center or turn off your computer during the update

5) Wait until the firmware update is complete. 

 


Firmware Update - iOS


1) Download and install the latest version of Elgato Control Center from the iOS App store

2) Open Control Center

3) A blue notification dot will appear next to the device info button if a firmware update is available. Tap on the info button

 

4) Under firmware version, tap on Update Available 

 

5) Tap on Update to continue

 

6) The firmware update will start. 

Keep the app open and your device unlocked. The firmware update may fail if the app is closed or your device locks itself.

 

7) Once the update is complete, the lighting accessory will restart, and the light may flash.

 


Firmware Update - Android


1) Download and install the latest version of Elgato Control Center from the Google Play Store

2) Open Control Center

3) A blue notification dot will appear next to the device info button if a firmware update is available. Tap on the info button

4) Under firmware version, tap on Update Available 

5) Tap on Update to continue

6) The firmware update will start. 

Keep the app open and your device unlocked. The firmware update may fail if the app is closed or your device locks itself.

7) Once the update is complete, the lighting accessory will restart, and the light may flash.
