The OBS Studio plugin may not be installed
There are two parts to the OBS Studio plugin.
- Stream Deck plugin: this is the OBS Studio plugin installed in your Stream Deck app from Elgato Marketplace.
- OBS Studio plugin: This is the plugin that OBS Studio loads and communicates with the Stream Deck plugin.
The OBS Studio plugin is installed when you install the Stream Deck app. However, the OBS Studio plugin file may not be placed or updated correctly in some cases.
To install the OBS Studio plugin, follow these steps:
1) Close OBS Studio.
2) Download the latest version of Stream Deck from elgato.com/download.
3) Install Stream Deck.
4) Launch OBS Studio.
Using Stream Deck with OBS Studio 30.1 or later
To use Stream Deck with OBS studio 30.1 or later, you must use Stream Deck 6.5.2 or newer.
1) Close OBS Studio
2) Download the latest version of Stream Deck from elgato.com/download.
3) Install Stream Deck
4) Launch OBS Studio.
Using Stream Deck with OBS Studio in portable mode
Depending on the OBS Studio version and your setup, special set-up steps may be required to use Stream Deck with OBS Studio while it is running in portable mode.
