Elgato Capture App — Recording settings

This guide will cover settings that can be configured for recordings in Elgato Capture. 

 

Resolution and Frame Rate 

Recordings will always be in the resolution and frame rate selected in the Format dropdown

Bit rate

The recording bit rate cannot be changed and is determined by Apple, based on the recording resolution and frame rate. Elgato is investigating the possibility of bit rate settings. 

 

Encoding Quality

Recording quality options such as low, medium, or high quality are not available. Recording quality is determined automatically by Apple. Elgato is investigating the possibility of adding encoding quality settings.
