macOS users can enable 10Gbps mode when using 4K X. This requires a Mac with 10Gbps USB or Thunderbolt ports and macOS Sonoma 14.4 or newer. Older macOS versions will continue to connect at 5Gbps.

How to enable USB 10 Gbps
- Open Capture Device Utility 1.3 or newer.
- Press and hold the Option key in the app.
- Turn on USB 10Gbps in the next window.
How to disable USB 10 Gbps
If 10 Gbps support is enabled, you can disable it by following these steps:
- Open Capture Device Utility 1.3 or newer.
- Turn off USB 10Gbps.
Note: This will only appear if USB 10 Gbps is enabled and using Elgato Capture Device Utility 1.3 or newer.
