What is One-Click Audio Routing
One-Click Audio Routing makes assigning applications to channels in Wave Link easy. Once an application has played audio, it is automatically detected and added to a list for quick routing.
Here’s how it works:
1) Play a sound or video from the application you want to route.
2) Select a channel such as Game, Music, or Browser.
3) A list of your current apps that have detected audio will appear.
4) Simply click the box next to the app you want to route to the selected channel.
5) Once assigned, the app stays linked to that channel and doesn’t need re-assigned.
Note: Some apps may require additional configuration. These apps will have an indicator next to them.
How to Route Applications to Virtual Channels
1) Open Wave Link and select the channel where you want to route audio.
2) Select the channel's name or press the Add button to start adding apps.
3) From the list of detected apps, click the app you want to route to the channel.
4) If an application requires additional configuration, such as Microsoft Teams, a notification will appear next to it.
5) Play audio from the app to confirm it’s routed correctly. The audio will now play through the selected channel.
Note: Apps that have been previously assigned but are not detected will appear faded in the app list.
What if One-Click Audio Routing doesn’t detect an app
1) Make sure the app has played sound at least once.
2) Fully close Wave Link by exiting it from the System Tray or Taskbar, then reopen it.
3) For Windows, try running Wave Link as an Administrator.
4) Confirm you have the latest version of Wave Link. You can download the latest version at elgato.com/downloads.
If the application still does not appear on the list, please contact our support team with the name of the application here.
