The following article covers the basics of a first time setup of the Wave Link 3.0 Software.
Getting Started
- Navigate to the official Elgato website.
- Download and install the Wave Link Software for your OS (Windows, Mac or Windows on Arm)
- Once installed, launch the software to proceed with setting up.
- If prompted within the software, download and install the Wave Link driver.
- If using an Elgato Wave microphone or interface you will be prompted to take a tour.
Adding Inputs
Next, you'll want to add your inputs. This can be microphones, capture cards, software or another audio source. Multiple input sources can be added to a single Input channel.
Outputs and Mixes
After you've assigned inputs, you may want to create outputs or add other mix channels where outputs can also be routed. This allows you to have multiple output options. "Personal Mix" for you to listen to and as an example, a Stream Mix that you create to send audio to your recording or streaming software.
Output Mixes and Monitoring Expanded
You can add up to 5 output mixes, each with independent routing and effects. Perfect for stream mixes, recording tracks, Chat feeds, or dual-PC setups. Mixes names can also be edited, given custom icons, and sent to multiple hardware outputs at the same time.
Note: clicking the Ear Icon in an Output Mix allows you to monitor that channel directly. Ensure the Ear Icon is visible on the correct mix. This is usually the Personal Mix.
