When using a VST Preset in a Wave Link VST, it is possible you will wish to back-up, share, or manually install them.
To do this, navigate to the location where the VST Preset folders are with XML Preset files inside each.
Preset Locations
On Mac you can click on Find on the Mac bar, and then "Go To Folder" to paste the below address.
On Windows you can paste the below address in file Explorer.
- Mac location:
~Library/Audio/Presets/Elgato/
- Windows location
%USERPROFILE%\Documents\VST3 Presets\Elgato
Note- Each VST with presets will have a subfolder you will also need to navigate into in order for them to be matched with the correct VST.
Manually Installing Presets
If you would like to manually install a preset, please follow the below steps:
- Close Wave Link from the tray or from Task Manager.
- Navigate to https://marketplace.elgato.com/audio/presets in the browser of your choice.
- Either hover over a preset, click the down arrow and click Download- or after clicking to go to the preset page, use the down arrow next to "Open in Wave Link" for Download.
- If your browser does not download the XML file, right-click on the page to "Save As" and then save to your preferred location.
- In your file browser, select the XML file you saved and then navigate to one of the above preset locations based on your system.
- Move the XML file to the preset location.
- Launch Wave Link and click into the VST.
