Elgato Video Capture (Windows 10 or 11) — "This application requires .net framework 3.5" error

If you’re installing Elgato Video Capture on Windows 10 or 11 and see the error "This application requires .NET Framework 3.5," it’s likely because this feature is not enabled on your system.

 

How to install .NET Framework 3.5

 

1) Open the Start Menu and search for Turn Windows features on or off.

2) In the list, check .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) and enable it.

Afterwards, please try reinstalling Elgato Video Capture. If the issue should still remain, then please download and install the .NET Framework 3.5 from the following page:
