ποΈΒ Recording quality options
You can now choose between higher quality or space-saving recording options.
Quality: This setting changes the average bit rate during recording
Format: Choose between different video codecs. H.264 is universally compatible. H.265/HEVC is more space efficient. AV1 is the latest and most advanced codec.
Max frame rate: Select the max frame rate of your recording. The actual frame rate depends on the incoming video signal.
Note: HDR recording will use either H.265/HEVC or AV1 and requires a compatible GPU.

4K Pro - Passthrough video quality improved
Firmware 250416 and driver 1.1.0.203.5 are now available which resolve an issue with passthrough output changing with certain displays such as the LG C2.
Note: In addition to installing the beta build, you'll need to switch your Release Channel to Beta. Otherwise, the driver won't be delivered. Firmware versions only appear once the driver is installed.

4K X - Enable 10 Gbps USB Connection
For users on Mac you can now enable 10 Gbps when using 4K X to take full advantage of increased recording resolution, frame rate and video formats.
To show the 10 Gbps settings, hold the command key and then click the sidebar view. The next time you open the sidebar youβll find the setting under the Video tab.
Note: On macOS 14.5 or later, enabling USB 10 Gbps mode on 4K X may cause USB video devices to stop responding. Restart your Mac and disable the setting to resolve this.
