Elgato Studio 2.0.0.msix (arm64)
What’s new in Elgato Studio 2.0 Beta 1?
Welcome to the first beta of Elgato Studio 2.0! This release introduces an entirely rethought Prompter workflow — from writing a script to presenting it on screen.
This beta is available on Windows only. A macOS version will come later, and Stream Deck plugin support for Prompter is planned for a later beta.
🆕 Prompter: Script Editor
Write and manage scripts right inside Elgato Studio — no Prompter hardware required. Work across multiple scripts with tabbed editing, format text with bold, italic, headings, lists, colors, highlights, and emojis, and use chapter markers to navigate long scripts. Auto-save and crash recovery keep your work safe, and built-in proofreading and search tools help you polish faster.
Scripts are saved as .md files in a folder you choose, so they’re easy to sync or edit elsewhere. Import existing scripts from .txt, .docx, .odt, .pages, and .rtf files, drag-and-drop them in, or bring over scripts from Camera Hub.
🆕 Prompter - Device Setup & Presentation
Elgato Studio now manages your Prompter hardware end-to-end — install and update the DisplayLink driver, check device status, and view your Prompter’s serial number from within the app. Adjust brightness, contrast, rotation, horizontal flip, overlay opacity, and camera alignment, with every setting saved across sessions.
When you’re ready to go live, present with constant-speed scrolling or Voice Sync 2.0, highlight the line you’re reading, and fine-tune margins and spacing across as many connected Prompter displays as you need. Loop scripts automatically and keep pace with a timer and progress bar.
🗣️ Voice Sync 2.0
Voice Sync 2.0 brings a major performance upgrade:
- Faster — scrolling keeps pace with your voice more responsively than before
- More accurate — better speech detection means fewer missed cues or drifting
- Lower resource usage — runs lighter on your system, leaving more headroom for everything else
- Broader hardware support — now available on AMD and Intel systems
We’ve also smoothed out the scrolling itself, so it eases along with your voice instead of sudden jumps. Switch between Voice Sync 2.0 and constant-speed scrolling anytime, even mid-presentation.
Voice Sync 2.0 is English only in this beta; German support is planned for a future release.
🖥️ Operator Preview
See exactly what’s on your Prompter, in real time, right on your main monitor. The preview mirrors every scroll, highlight, and layout change as it happens, so a second person can follow along and assist during a shoot without needing to stand behind the Prompter itself.
📦 Smarter Asset Updates
Firmware, drivers, and EDID data can now reach your devices without waiting on a full app update. EDID updates apply automatically, while firmware and driver updates ask for your confirmation first.
👀 What’s next
This is just the start — expect frequent updates throughout the beta. Coming soon: Twitch and YouTube chat integration, combined multi-chat, audio input selection, and Voice Sync 2.0 German support.
