These steps can be used to troubleshoot when Elgato Stream Deck Mobile cannot reconnect to a previously connected computer, or there are errors when trying to pair Elgato Stream Deck Mobile with a new PC or Mac.
Distance to Router
Move the iOS device closer to the router creating the Wi-Fi connection
Stream Deck Mobile Requires a Local Wi-Fi Connection
If the iOS device is connected to the internet via cellular connection Stream Deck Mobile will not work.
Please connect the iOS device and the PC or Mac with the Stream Deck software to the same router.
An Internet Connection is Required for Stream Deck Mobile to Work
Please ensure that the iOS device and PC or Mac running the Stream Deck software have internet connectivity.
Connect the Host PC or Mac to the Router with an Ethernet Cable
Try connecting your Host computer to your router with an Ethernet Cable.
Quit and Restart the Elgato Stream Deck app on the Host PC or Mac
Restart the PC or Mac, so that the Elgato Stream Deck app and other processes can fully restart.
Consider Using a 2.4 Ghz Wi-Fi Network if your iOS Device is Far Away
If the iOS device is far away from the router, ensure that it is connected via the 2.4 Ghz network. The 2.4 Ghz network can reach further than a 5Ghz network.
Consider Using a 5 Ghz Wi-Fi Network if your iOS Device is Nearby
If the iOS device is close to the router, ensure that it is connected via the 5 Ghz AC network for optimal bandwidth.
Check Your Firewall Settings
Ensure that the Stream Deck software can communicate through any firewalls in use. For example, Windows has its own firewall that may be on.
