4K60 S+ connects to the PlayStation 5 using HDMI.  It can passthrough video to a TV set also using HDMI.  An HDMI cable is included in the box.

Elgato Game Capture 4K60 S+ has one HDMI input, one HDMI output, one USB output, one power input, and a slot for a SD card

HDMI In
This connects to a game console or other video source.  Signals protected by HDCP can't be used.

 

HDMI Out
This sends the HDMI signal in real time to a TV or display, so you can play your game normally.

USB Out
This USB-C port sends the raw video to your computer via USB 3.x. This high-speed connection allows for the Instant Gameview low latency preview of the Elgato Game Capture 4K60 S+. The preview will only be delayed by 50-100 milliseconds.

USB Power

This allows you to use a wall socket to power your Elgato Game Capture 4K60 S+ via the provided USB/Wall Power Adaptor.

 

This allows you to record up to 4K content directly to an SD card of your choice with just the touch of a button.

 

 

Before the PlayStation 5 can be captured, HDCP must be disabled. 

 

 

1) Connect your Playstation 5 directly to your TV set or display via HDMI, without using Elgato Game Capture 4K60 S+.

2) Visit the Settings > System section of the PlayStation 5 interface, and turn off Enable HDCP.
After that, you can use your Playstation 5 with Elgato Game Capture 4K60 S+.

Setup Steps

1) Download and install the 4K Capture Utility software, version 1.7.2 or higher:

2) Connect your Playstation 5 to the HDMI In of Elgato Game Capture 4K60 S+ via an HDMI cable

3) Connect the HDMI Out of Elgato Game Capture 4K60 S+ to your TV or display via an HDMI cable.
Plug the USB-C cable into the Power In slot on the Elgato Game Capture 4K60 S+ to your compatible wall outlet.

4) If looking to capture using Elgato 4K Capture Utility, make sure you connect the Elgato Game Capture 4K60 S+ to your computer via a  USB 3.0 cable.
