Important: This guide will go over the original Wave XLR and the Low Impedance Mode Setting found in Wave Link 2.0 Software which was replaced in Wave Link 3.0.
Low Impedance Mode is a setting designed to be used when low impedance headphones or IEM (In Ear Monitors) are connected to the headphone output of Wave XLR.
If you hear a faint electrical buzzing sound in your headphones or IEMs, enabling Low Impedance Mode may help.
Requirements
These are the requirements to enable Low Impedance Mode.
- Wave Link 1.5 or newer
- Wave XLR firmware 1.3 or newer
How to enable Low Impedance Mode
1) Open Wave Link
2) Open the Wave XLR settings by clicking on the Wave XLR input channel dropdown arrow
3) Expand the Headphone Jack section if it is not already
3) Check the Low Impedance Mode Box
