This article goes over basic setup instructions and possible issues a user may experience.
1) Connect your camera following the included Quick Start Guide:
2) Connect Prompter directly to your computer with the included USB cable.
3) Visit http://elgato.com/downloads to download Camera Hub software for Windows or Mac.
Note: If Camera Hub Software remains on this screen, or the Prompter Tab is greyed out, please follow the instructions for your OS below.
Windows
Note: Using the "X" in Camera Hub for Windows will not close the software.
Mac
Ensure the computer is not mirrored to Prompter. This can be done in two ways depending on your setup:
- Note that it may change through macOS updates.
1. Use Command+F1 or Command+Fn+1 to toggle between mirrored and extended.
2. Ensure that Mirroring is disabled in the System Settings --> Displays (turn off mirroring):
