Usually, you can record in Elgato Game Capture HD by pressing the large, red button at the bottom right corner of the Capture window.

You can also use a Scythe USB Foot Switch 2 to start and stop recording.

Setup - Scythe USB Foot Switch 2


Connect the Scythe USB Foot Switch 2 to your Mac via USB.

Instal Elgato Game Capture HD software version 1.1 or higher.

In the Elgato Game Capture HD Preferences, choose Use foot switch to toggle capture.

 
Usage - Scythe USB Foot Switch 2


Once you have turned on Scythe USB Foot Switch 2 support in the Elgato Game Capture HD Preferences, it's ready to be used.

First, select Capture Mode in the Elgato Game Capture HD software.  Then:

• If you are not yet recording, press the Scythe USB Foot Switch 2 once to start recording

• If you are already recording, press the Scythe USB Foot Switch 2 once to stop recording
