Newer Elgato Game Capture HD software works with original Elgato Game Capture HD hardware

Elgato Game Capture HD software version 2.0 and above works with the original Elgato Game Capture HD unit, plus other hardware:

Elgato Game Capture HD
Elgato Game Capture HD60

Newer features like Stream Command and Separate Audio Tracks were available for both devices starting in version 2.0.

The Windows version received Stream Command first, followed by the Mac version.

 

After version 2.0, Game Capture HD software gained support for additional capture devices over time.  You can find out more about those releases in the Software Release Notes:

Elgato Game Capture HD software is no longer developed.  It is considered a Legacy Product.

 

You can download Legacy Product software from the Elgato.com Downloads page.

 

1) Choose Game Capture HD, and you will receive the most recent version of Game Capture HD software.

2) If you want the latest Windows software, download 3.7.
