Browser Alerts, GIFs and HTML Videos in Elgato Game Capture HD 3.1

Elgato Game Capture Software 3.1 now allows you to add browser alerts, .GIF, and videos using our Add button in Stream Command.

Browser Alerts




To add browser alerts in Elgato Game Capture Software 3.1, please follow these steps:

1) Choose the scene you wish to edit in Stream Command and click “Edit Scene”

2) Click the "Add Overlay" button.
 




3) Click “Add Web Page”

4) Paste in the URL provided from your browser alerts provider

5) Click Add

6) Position/resize the window to your liking

7) Click “Save Scene”

 


GIFs




To add a GIF in Elgato Game Capture Software 3.1, please follow these steps:

1) Choose the scene you wish to edit in Stream Command and click “Edit Scene”

2) Click the "Add Overlay" button

 



3) Click “Add Web Page”

4) Click the "..." icon to launch Windows Explorer

 



5) Navigate to your .GIF file, select it, and open it

6) Position the window to your liking

7) Click “Save Scene”

 


Videos




To add a video in Elgato Game Capture Software 3.1, please follow these steps:

1) Choose the scene you wish to edit in Stream Command and click “Edit Scene”

2) Click the "Add Overlay" button.

 



3) Click “Add Web Page”

4) Click the "..." icon to launch Windows Explorer
 



5) Navigate to your .WEBM file, select it, and open it

6) Position the window to your liking

7) Click “Save Scene”


Please Note: Only .WEBM (VP8/VP9) is supported for video overlays in Elgato Game Capture Software 3.1.
