This guide goes over the System Requirements for using Elgato Prompter.
Note: Prompter does not support iOS or iPadOS. You cannot connect Prompter to an iPad or iPhone via USB or other means to use it.
System Requirements
The following are the System Requirements for using Elgato Prompter.
Operating system
- Windows 10 (64-bit) or newer
- macOS 11 or newer
- Android 11 or newer
CPU
- Intel, AMD, or Apple
Ram
- 4GB or more
GPU
- Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, Apple
Connection
- USB 3.0 Type A
- A USB-C to USB-A 3.0 cable is included with Prompter
- USB 3.0 Type C port
- Note: A USB-C to USB-C cable is not included with Prompter.
Internet Connection
- Required for initial software download. Internet is not required during normal operation.
Note: Prompter uses Camera Hub software on Macs or PCs. Camera Hub does not support ARM processors such as the Snapdragon series found in Microsoft Surface PCs. For more information about Windows ARM support and Elgato products, see this article.
Voice Sync System Requirements
Introduced with Camera Hub 1.11, Voice Sync automatically scrolls your Prompter script only when you speak. Whether you speed up, slow down, or pause, it will adapt to your reading pace.
Voice Sync has additional System Requirements:
- Camera Hub 1.11 or newer
- Windows: NVIDIA RTX 2060 or better
- macOS: Apple Silicon M1 or better
- Microphone
